Climate Risk Services Ltd” (referred to as “we”, “us”, “CRS, “Climate Risk Services and “climateriskservices.com”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy when you are visiting or using the CRS Platform and associated mobile applications, as well as its websites (this includes the domain climateriskservices.com and it's their associated sub domains), herein referred to collectively as “the Platform.
Capitalised terms not otherwise defined in this Privacy Policy shall have the meanings given in the Terms and Conditions. This policy together with the Terms and Conditions explains what types of personal and non-personal information we collect when you use the Platform and the basis on which any personal data we collect from you or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
By disclosing your personal information to us by using the Platform, you consent to the collection, storage and processing of your personal information as stated in this policy. CRS uses the personal information we collect from you to provide our service to you. We will not rent, sell or share your personal information with any other company.

2. What personal information do we collect?
We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal information:
If you register as a user of the Platform, you will be asked to complete a form that will require your email address, first and last name, and chosen password.
If you register as a user of the Platform and wish to access any of our location-based features, you will be asked to complete a form that will require your country, city, town and postcode.
When you contact us by email or telephone or through any contact form provided on the Platform, we may ask you to provide some or all of the information as set out above.
We may collect, store and use information about your computer, mobile device or other item of hardware through with you access the Platform and your visits to and use of the Platform (including without limitation your IP address, geographical location, browser/platform type and version, Internet Service Provider, operating system, referral source/exit pages, length of visit, page views, Platform navigation and search terms that you use); and In order to improve your experience in using the Platform, we may store information relating to your previous browsing. We may also ask you to complete surveys and give feedback that we use for improving our service.

This non-personally identifiable data helps us to track browsing behaviour, to create specific or tailor-made offers or advertisements, and to monitor and record the visits and use of the Platform.

7. Where we store your personal data
The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). All information you provide to us is stored on our third party secure servers, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP). We take the security of your personal data very seriously. In particular we use all reasonable endeavours to ensure that appropriate security measures are in place to protect your personal data. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure and so we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted through the Platform; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
8. Your Rights
The Act gives you the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data. 9. Access to information
The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request may be subject to a fee of £50 to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy. Any changes we may make to our Privacy Policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by email.
